OVERVIEW
2DEGREES is a brand operated by Realize Creative. We run one SMS program. It covers account messages, which anyone who signs in or applies can receive, and promotional messages, which are optional and require you to opt in. This page explains what each one is, when we send it, and how to stop it. Nothing on this page is a place to sign up. It describes the consent we collect elsewhere so you can read the terms before you give it.


SECTION 1 - ACCOUNT MESSAGES
Account messages come in two kinds. When you sign in, we text you a one-time login code, and you may receive one every time you log in. This category also covers a message telling you your invite has been approved, which would arrive once after you apply.
You get these because you gave us your mobile number to sign in or to apply, and they are part of using the Service. There is no checkbox for them and no fixed schedule: asking for a login code is itself the request, and the code is the reply. Msg & data rates may apply.
To stop them, reply STOP to any one of them. Note that this also stops any invite-approval message, so you would need to check your application status another way.

SECTION 2 - PROMOTIONAL MESSAGES
Separately, we send occasional announcements about upcoming events, dress code, and gifts. These are optional, and they are the only messages governed by a consent checkbox.
The checkbox appears near the end of the invite application, after you have created an account. It is unchecked by default. You have to check it yourself for us to send you anything promotional.

SECTION 3 - THE CONSENT WE ASK FOR
The opt-in form itself is behind a login, so it is reproduced below exactly as a consumer sees it: the mobile number the consent applies to, then the optional marketing checkbox and its disclosures.

The checkbox is unchecked until you select it, and it covers promotional messages only. Verification and login codes are never bundled into it: those are covered in Section 1 and are sent because you asked for a code, not because you ticked a box. Someone who wants login codes and no marketing simply leaves this unchecked.

SECTION 4 - CONSENT IS NOT REQUIRED
Promotional consent is not a condition of purchase or of using our Service. You can leave that checkbox unchecked and still apply for an invite, create an account, and buy a ticket. Declining blocks nothing. Nothing about your application is judged on whether you opted in.

SECTION 5 - FREQUENCY AND COST
Message frequency for promotional messages is approximately 2 to 4 messages per month. Account messages are sent as you use the Service and are not included in that number.
Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier may.

SECTION 6 - HOW TO OPT OUT
To stop promotional messages, reply STOP to any one of them. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further promotional messages. To resubscribe, reply START.

SECTION 7 - CARRIERS
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others.
